William Raymond Elwood Sr.

64, of Matteson formerly of Chicago Ridge, Westmont and Berwyn, born in Chicago, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2017. He is survived by his loving family; husband of Peggy (Carroll) Elwood; children William "Bill" (Jennifer) Elwood Jr., Elizabeth Elwood, Brittany Elwood, Christina Elwood; mother Dolores Elwood; Grandpa "Shoulder " of Kaitlin Elwood; siblings Robert (Janice) Elwood, Brian (Kathy) Elwood ; former wife Linda Elwood and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father William Elwood; sister Charlene Elwood; in-laws John and Patricia Carroll. His deceased pets Pearl, Metcher, Sandy and Fiona the rabbit. He was a plant manager for Airco and Boc Gases, and also worked for Phillip Flowers, Westmont and Car Quest Auto, Worth. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 4-9 PM, Funeral service, Saturday, July 29, 2017 prayers at 9:30 AM leaving for St. Anthony Catholic Church, Frankfort for a 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
