William Franklin Thompson

William Franklin Thompson age 81, a resident of Frankfort, formerly of Crete and Park Forest, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2020 at the Joliet Area Community Hospice House. Loving husband of Andrea Thompson (Morris); beloved father of Susan (Steven) Duncan, Kelly (Edwin) Ashman, Richard (Kimberly) Thompson and Tricia (Matt) Sniadecki; dearest brother of Tommy (late Laura) Thompson, Richard (Nao) Thompson and Betty Brownfield; cherished grandfather of Katie, Carly, Kristen, Patrick, Nora, Anna, Jack, Andrew, Julia, Maddie and Bailey; fond uncle of several nieces and nephews. William was a member of Peace Community Church and C.A.M.S., a member of Kiwanis Club, he volunteered for American Cancer Society, Relay for Life and Morning Star, he was a sponsor for the Lincoln Way Area Chorale and an avid golfer and fisherman. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held at Peace Community Church 21300 LaGrange Rd. Frankfort IL 60423 on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 10:30 AM. Interment will follow to Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Frankfort. WEARING A MASK AND SOCIAL DISTANCING IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND ALL SERVICES. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to American Cancer Society would be appreciated.
