Virginia Brody

Virginia Brody (nee Lubek)

Age 79 passed away peacefully Thursday, February 19, 2026. Virginia was born in Chicago, IL to the late Stanley F. and Ann (nee Kopeck) Lubek.

Loving mother of John (Suzanne) Brody, Joseph (late Lisa) Brody, James (Lisa) Brody, and Jeffery (Mary Jankowicz) Brody; cherished grandmother of Dalton (Lexi) Brody, Phoebe King, Jack (Brittany) Brody, Sam (fiancée Marianna DiDiana) Brody, Kalee Brody, and Tyler Brody; dear sister of Stanley (Barbara) Lubek, Patricia (Robert) Kleckner, the late Joseph (Rickie) Lubek, and Thomas Lubek; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Virginia loved to travel and prior to her retirement, she worked for Southwest Airlines in her dream job as a Reservation Agent.  After retiring, Virginia moved to Gardendale Alabama.  She lived in Alabama for thirteen years and really enjoyed the warm climate and southern hospitality. She loved spending time with her family and friends, as well as participating in outdoor activities like driving her John Deere and taking her beloved dogs Zowie and Hobo to the dog park.  In January of 2023, Virginia moved back to Illinois.  She lived at Heritage Woods of Yorkville, an assisted living community in the western suburbs of Chicago.  Once back in Chicago, Virginia enjoyed reconnecting with family and friends.   She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 12:00 pm until time of Service at 2:30 pm.
