THOMAS W. HOJNICKI

Age 75, of Mokena, passed away on Thursday, October 13th, 2016 at his home in Mokena.

Thomas is survived by his loving family, wife, Diane Hojnicki (Martino), children, Nancy Eklund, Mark (Jenna) Hojnicki, Paul (Olga) Hojnicki, siblings, Margaret (Joseph) Murzyn, Howard (Carol) Hojnicki, Peter (Linda) Hojnicki, grandchildren, Tommy Eklund, Anna Eklund, Olivia Hojnicki, Luke Hojnicki and Drew Hojnicki.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents, Walter & Frances Hojnicki (Zajac).

Thomas was a United States Navy Veteran. He was employed by Argonne National Laboratories for 22 years and retired in 1985; he then retired again from the Chicago Tribune in 1998 and Goss Graphics in 2005.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, October 21st, 2016 from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Funeral service, Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30 AM and then to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60423 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment, Marshall Cemetery, Mokena, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Parkinson's Disease Foundation would be appreciated.
