Thomas "Pete" Joseph Mohan

Thomas “Pete” Joseph Mohan, 88, of Frankfort, Illinois, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2026, surrounded by his family. Pete was born on August 31, 1937, in Chicago, Illinois. Pete worked as a pressman at R.R. Donnelley & Sons for 37 years.

Pete is survived by his wife Carole (nee Miller) Mohan, Tim (Kerry Gustafson) Mohan, Karen (Thomas) Roth, grandchildren, Chris, Lauren (Connor), Grace and Matthew Mohan, Ben (Emma) and Michael (Olivia) Roth, Shannon (Conor) Ryan and Claire (Tyler) Rich, great grandchildren, Emma, Lucy, Owen, Miles and his brother John (Judy).

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Elizabeth Mohan, brothers Gerald and Richard Mohan and his sister Susan Lyons.

Pete’s life was his family. He worked tirelessly to give his family a better life than he had. He rarely missed a sporting event, concert or dance competition and no one was a bigger supporter and believer of his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. After retirement, he travelled the world with his wife of 66 years Carole, who he met in high school chemistry class and courted in his yellow convertible. He found his peace on a fishing boat and he showed his love by fixing things for the people he loved. He will be profoundly missed.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 10, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service 4:00 p.m. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423.
