Therese Anne Sefcik

Therese A. Sefcik (nee Garavaglia) Age 91, a resident Joliet and New Lenox, IL, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025. Therese was born in Joliet, IL to the late Charles and Frances (nee Lovati) Garavaglia.

Beloved wife of the late Aloysius “Al” Sefcik; loving mother of Stephen (Janet) Sefcik, Michael (Judy) Sefcik, and the late David (Renee) Sefcik; cherished grandmother of Michael Sefcik Jr, Aimee Sefcik, Marc Sefcik, Scott (Alexandra) Sefcik, Eric (Helena) Sefcik, Casey (Sydney) Sefcik, Kylie (Dominik) Gallik, and Matthew (Amanda) Sefcik; proud great-grandmother of Halee, Connor, Justice, Melina, Vanessa, Lydia, Riley, Astrid, Ragnhild, Jettson, Jaxon, and Ryleigh; loved aunt, cousin, and friend of many.

Therese was a member of St. Mary Magdalene Church in Joliet, IL. She enjoyed sewing, family vacations, and any family get togethers. Therese will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL on Monday, July 28, 2025, from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 pm. Interment to follow Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL.
