Terrence M. Bopp

Age 85, of Orland Park, passed away peacefully Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at Lightways Hospice House in Joliet.

Terry is survived by his loving family, wife, Mary Caryl Bopp (Waltman), children, Henry (Audrey) Bopp, Angela White, Kristin Duffy, Brian (Rebecca) Duffy, daughter in-law, Joy Bopp, sibling, Sean (Judy) Bopp, grandchildren, Amanda Bopp, Ashley Bopp, Gary Coglianese, Justin McKenna, Madelyn Duffy, Delaney Duffy, great grandchildren, Cameron Bopp, Lily Bopp, Nicolas McKenna, lifelong best friend, Don (Cindy) Christo and devoted uncle to many nieces and nephews.

Terry was preceded in death by his parents, Henry & Edna Bopp (Peters), first wife, Janice Bopp (Sorenson), son, Terrence S. Bopp, sibling, Lana (Fran) Cavin, grandchild, William “Billy” Bopp and son in-law, John White.

Terry was a former member of St. Germaine Catholic Church in Oak Lawn and former President of the Oak Lawn Kiwanis Club. He retired as a Principal from the Oak Lawn School District #123 at McDonald & Hannum Elementary Schools. Terry was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin Whitewater and member of the 1959 undefeated Harvard High School Football Team as well as an avid Notre Dame football fan.

A celebration of life will take place at the Harry E. Anderson VFW Post #9545, 323 Old Hickory Road, New Lenox IL 60451 on Sunday, January 11th, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
