Sylvia Rose Novak

Sylvia Rose Novak, 83, of Chicago, former resident of Frankfort and

Dolton. Born in Chicago’s Roseland neighborhood to the late Leonard

and Louise (nee Majchrzak) Tropp, Sylvia passed away May 10, 2023.

Preceded in death by former spouse and forever friend John Novak; loving mother of Timothy

(Loralee) Novak, Kimberly (Donald) Bonnstetter, Keith (Phunny) Novak,

and Michele (Thomas) Lyons; cherished Busie to Natalie Rose, Meredith

Lynne, Elizabeth Rose, Kathryn Marie, John Patrick, and Jessica Rose;

beloved sister of Leonard (late Gail) (late Geraldine) Tropp Jr., and

the late Michael Tropp; fond sister-in-law of Marianne (Horst)

Thompson; dear aunt of Christopher, Darren, and Julie. Visitation from

9-11 a.m. Saturday, May 20, at Christ Our Light Catholic Church f/k/a

St. Florian Roman Catholic Church, 13145 S. Houston Ave., Chicago,

immediately followed by a funeral Mass. Burial at Holy Cross Catholic

Cemetery, Calumet City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in
