Age 79, a resident of Mokena, formerly of the Chicago Beverly area, passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018. Beloved husband of Jeanne Walker; loving father of Steve (Mary Beth) Johnson, Craig (Amy) Johnson, Kevin (Mark) Johnson, Chris (Kari) Walker, and Mary Morrell; cherished grandfather of Hanna, Jack, Quinn, Sophia, Sloane, Madison, and Desiree; dear brother of Lynn (Mike) Zaremba and Jill Melvin, numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his first wife Martha Johnson. Stephen graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State and retired from Airway Systems as Vice President. He was a United States Army Veteran, and enjoyed traveling around the world. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 3-8 PM with a Memorial service beginning at 7:00 PM.
