Shirley J. Holden

Shirley Holden/Wondrasek/Klotz, Age 85, passed peacefully in her children’s arms (Hope, Ward, Lynn) on Monday, January 5, 2026, in New Lenox, IL where she lived for the past 60 years.

Shirley is survived by her children Hope (Paul) Nigg, Ward Wondrasek, Lynn Ashton, grandchildren: Logan (Lauren) Nigg, Madelynn Wondrasek, Braden Nigg, Melora Wondrasek, Lily Ashton, Kate Ashton.

Nature is where Shirley found her joy, peace, and purpose. She spent the majority of her free days and nights camping, enjoying the outdoors, having good conversations, telling jokes, and enjoying lifelong friends.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E. Francis Rd, New Lenox, IL on Saturday January 10, 2026, from 9AM until time of funeral service at 10:30AM. Burial will follow at Elmhurst Cemetery Joliet, IL.
