Sandra Rae Emil

Sandra Rae Emil, 82, passed away peacefully on Sept. 26, 2025 at her home in Tinley Park, IL. She is survived by her children: Scott (Therese) Emil of Vernon Hills, IL and Julie Emil of Chicago, IL; grandchildren: Jonah Emil of Austin, TX and Bailey Emil of Orlando, FL. Sandra was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Emil in 2013, sister, Helene Marshall and her parents: Benjamin and Rea Abramson.

Sandra Rae Emil was born in Hammond, Indiana on Oct. 14, 1942. She enjoyed fashion, reading, classic movies and most of all, spending time with her family. Having an entrepreneurial spirit, she had several businesses throughout her lifetime.

Visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Wednesday, Oct.1, 2025 from 9:45 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. going to Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, IL for a 1:00 p.m. Committal Service.
