Russell "Russ" A. Schippits, age 64, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2017; beloved husband of Dawn M. Nee Butkus; loving father of Jayson and Aleah (Eddie) Brooks; fond son of the late Harold Schippits and the late Wilma nee Vandre; dearest brother of Harold "Hal" (Sandi) Schippits, Jr., George (Kathie) Schippits, and Denise (Mike) Lonigro and brother-in-law of April (Terry) Budz and uncle to nieces and nephews. He was a former Sunday School Teacher at Immanuel Church in Peotone. Russ enjoyed woodworking, sports, being with friends and most of all, his family.
