Robert G. Proudfoot

Age 84, of Matteson, passed away Thursday, September 4th, 2025, at Franciscan Health in Olympia Fields after tough health battle with his family by his side.

Robert is survived by his loving family including his children, Bobby Proudfoot, Scotty Proudfoot, Thomas Stewart, Charles Stewart, Anette Stewart, Daniel (Ellen) Stewart, five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his brother Donald (Carol) Proudfoot.

Robert was preceded in death by his loving wife Bernadine, brothers Jack Proudfoot, and James Proudfoot.

Robert was a longtime member of St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Frankfort and active member of the Arcadia Palace Masonic Lodge #765 in Lansing, IL.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Milligan and the members for St. Peter's UCC family for their friendship and continued support for Robert during his fight to recover. In addition, they would like to thank all the staff, specifically Dr. Hudson and the ICU Staff at Franciscan Health for their continued kindness and care they bestowed Robert in his final days.

Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Monday, September 8th, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. a Prayer service will begin at 1:00PM and Interment will immediately follow at Oakland Memory Lanes, Dolton IL.
