ROBERT A. ZAJAC

Age 89, passed away on Sunday, June 26th, 2022 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Robert is survived by his loving family, wife Helen Zajac (Wozniak), children, Elizabeth (Anthony) Porte, Robert J. Zajac, Genevieve (Anthony) Padula, grandchildren, Russell Porte, Joel (Carrie) Porte, Craig (Erica) Porte, Rachel Porte, Aaron (Jessica) Porte, Anthony J. Porte, Ren Zajac, Maggie Zajac, Daniel (Amanda) O’Brien, Brandon O’Brien, John O’Brien Jr, great grandchildren, Mitchell Porte, Levi Porte, Genevieve Porte, Ellie Porte and Evelyn Porte.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Kazimierz & Helena Zajac (Klain) and sister, Anna (late Stanley) Dymurski.

Robert was a Untied States Army Veteran and a member of St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox where he served as an Usher; he retired from Ford Motor Company after 42 years of service.

Family will receive friends, Thursday, June 30th, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451. Funeral service, Friday, July 1st, 2022 with prayers at the funeral home at 11:30 AM and then to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM. Interment, Mount Olivet Cemetery, Joliet IL.
