RLee Maute-Hedden was born on May 25, 1944 in Joliet, IL. She will be lovingly remembered by her two children, Mistee (Dan) Plattner and Michael (Brook) Hedden along with her two grandchildren Luke Plattner and Daniel Plattner, brother Ron Duranto and many nieces and nephews.
It is incredibly difficult to sum up the impact and influence RLee had on those around her. She was loving, kind, inspirational, loyal, determined, smart, and had a wonderful sense of humor. She loved the Lord and instilled her undeniable faith into her children. She was and avid reader, advocate for animals, and loved to travel with her family. However, her greatest joy was to be a mother and a grandmother (Gramee).
RLee loved all animals but especially dogs. She loved dogs and dogs loved her. That must be the reason she had 17 dogs, 4 cats, 2 guinea pigs, 2 bunnies and a sparrow during her lifetime. RLee also obedience trained several of her dogs and showed her whippet Bandit until he became a champion. Dog handlers said that Bandit wouldn't become a champion without the use of a professional handler, but RLee proved them wrong.
A private service will be held in May.
