Rita J. Brown (nee Wisniewski)

Age 84, of New Lenox, passed away at her home unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 9, 2022. Rita was born in Chicago, IL to the late Adam and Martha (nee Chmielewski). Beloved wife of the late Robert P. Brown (2021); loving mother of James (Jean) Brown, Kim (Ron) Newcomb, Sheri (Joseph) Milloy, Dawn Garcia, Jennifer (Dennis) Mensching, and the late Michael (Antonina) Brown; loving Nannie of Jamie, Megan, Lauren, Andrew, Mark, Caitlyn, Shannon, Tiffany, Ronald, Nicholas, Tabitha, Jessica, Alisha, Rachel, Kathleen, Michaela, Charity, William, the late Shane, and 20 great grandchildren; dear sister of Janice (Robert) Konow; loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. Rita was an avid crafter and enjoyed making many different things. She was a member of Women of the Moose, Lodge 300, Joliet, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family would be appreciated. The family will receive friends at Revolution Church, 24520 S. U.S. Highway 52, Manhattan, IL 60442 on Monday, August 15, 2022, from 4:30pm until time of funeral service at 7:00 PM. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL will be private.
