54, of New Lenox passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital after a long courageous battle with cancer. Rick was born in Chicago, IL to Joseph and Helen (nee Kurek) Dedo. Beloved husband of Marta (nee Dec); loving father of Brandon and Joanna; dear brother of Kenneth (late Rosanne) Dedo, Ronald Dedo, David (Darlene) Dedo, and Susan (John) Julkowski; cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews; loved son-in-law of Wieslawa and the late Aleksander Dec; brother-in-law Wojcieh (Nadia) Dec; also survived by numerous cousins and dear friends. Rick will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Rick was employed by Mars Wrigley (formerly M&M Mars). The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 3 – 8pm. Funeral Service Wednesday, August 11, 2021 with prayers at the funeral home at 9:30am to St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am. Inurnment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park, IL.
