Richard A. Frost Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, and storyteller, passed away peacefully at home in New Lenox, Illinois, on November 4, 2025. Born on August 28, 1950, in Chicago, Illinois. Richard was a vibrant soul who filled the lives of those around him with laughter and joy.

Known for his engaging personality, Richard delighted in telling stories and joking around, bringing smiles to the faces of his family and friends. His favorite moments were spent playing with his grandchildren, cherishing the special bond they shared. He was a devoted father to his four sons, Richard (Jamie) Frost, Christopher (Charlotte) Frost, Phillip (Amy) Frost, Andrew Frost, and his daughter, Sheila (Benjamin) Renteria, who each carry forward his legacy of warmth and humor.

Richard's passion extended beyond his family life; he had a deep fondness for working on his Ford Truck, finding relaxation and satisfaction in his hobbies. He approached every project with the same enthusiasm he brought to storytelling, making it an integral part of his character.

He is survived by his loving children and their families, including his cherished grandchildren: Kelsey (Ron), Tyler, Mariah, Nicholas, Hunter, and Brianna, all of whom will forever hold fond memories of their grandfather close to their hearts.

Richard is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy (nee Carpenter) Frost, and his granddaughter, Madison, both of whom he missed dearly. Their memories continue to inspire and provide comfort to those he leaves behind.
