Raymond John Bodnar

Raymond John Bodnar, age78, a resident of Frankfort, formerly of South Holland and Dolton, passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2021 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights. Loving husband of Carol Bodnar (Moeller); beloved father of John (Suzanne) Bodnar and Marc (Rosi) Bodnar; dearest brother of Dean (Barbara) Bodnar; cherished grandfather of Mia (Andy) Janik, Alana Carta, twins Mila and Maggie Bodnar. He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew and Mary (Terri) Bodnar. He was a Lobbyist for the Illinois Chamber of Commerce, a former planning director for Frankfort and Harvey. He graduated from the University of Illinois and was an avid fan of Jimmy Buffet. A memorial mass will be held at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort IL 60423 on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 10:00AM with a visitation at the church from 9-10AM.In lieu of flowers memorial donations to the donor's choice in Raymond's name would be appreciated.
