Randy J. Glidewell

56 of New Lenox passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at AMITA Health St. Joseph Medical Center, Joliet, Illinois. Randy was born in Joliet to the late loving parents, Ray and JoAnn (nee Farmer) Glidewell. Randy is survived by his longtime companion, Janet Cernyar; his children Brandon Glidewell and Kaitlyn Glidewell; his siblings, Timothy (late Mae) Glidewell, Scott (Diana) Glidewell, and Pam (Jim) Vick; numerous nieces and nephews, a granddaughter Sophia, fatherly figure to Jackie and Gina Cernyar, and his best friend Dave Davis, who was always there to help his friend. Randy loved all sports but especially the Chicago Cubs, “Da” Bears, Blackhawks and Texas Rangers. He coached girls softball and had worked with disabled individuals. He also loved woodworking and made many beautiful things. Some of his favorite things were the outdoors, golf, vacationing and participating in Classic Car shows. In earlier years he was always up for the next adventure. Randy will be remembered as always having a good time and making people laugh. Randy was always the life of the party. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Per Randy’s request no services will be held.
