Paula Mary Austin (née King) 

It is with great sadness that the family of Paula Mary Austin announce her passing on April 30, 2024. She loved her family, dogs (Brandy and Jada), and music (particularly her favorite band BTS).

She is survived by her four children, Debbie (Mike) Brooks, Judy LeGrand, Mike (Agnes) Moustis, Jim (Tara) Moustis; eleven grandchildren  Donny Taylor, Nicholas (Brianna) Wagner, Larry (Chassity) LeGrand, Michael (Rachel) Taylor, Amanda (Brian) Cogdill, Jenna Brooks, Jocie (Dillon) Buschmann, Jimmy Moustis, Haley (Max) Gilmore, Matylda Moustis, Hunter Moustis; eight great grandchildren  Avery, Adalyn, Wyatt, Nicholas, Chantilly, Louise, Jackson, and Weston, with three more on the way.

Paula was preceded in death by her father, Patrick King; mother, Joyce King; brother, Roy King; and sister, Del Roi King.

Paula was a smart, independent woman who always wanted to help others and therefore became an R.N. in 1982, after receiving her Associates Degree from Joliet Jr. College. She practiced nursing for over 30 years before retiring.

A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 10th 2024, at 10:00am at St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church. 17500 84th Avenue, Tinley Park, IL 60487.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Special Olympics of Illinois.
