Nelson Rodriguez

Nelson Rodriguez, age 66, a resident of Rockford formerly of Zion, Joliet, Waukegan and Chicago, passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021. Loving father of Nelson (Michelle) Rodriguez and Evita F. Rodriguez; beloved brother of Victor (Reniece) Rodriguez, Eduardo (Darla) Rodriguez, Edwin Rodriguez, Daniel Rodriguez and Marisol (Javier Montalvo) Rodriguez; cherished grandfather of Vince, Vamaya and Gianna; dearest uncle of Gio, Edwin, Jr., Elicia and Lolita. He was preceded in death by his parents Jorge Nelson Rodriguez Martinez and Fermina Santos Velaguez. He was a cook for St. Paul's House in Chicago, a manager for Kentucky Fried Chicken and Bennigans with his brother Victor. He also worked at US Steel in Chicago. A visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E Francis Road, New Lenox IL 60451 on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM with a service in the funeral home chapel at 7:00 PM.
