Ms. Florence Jean Bastic

Florence Jean Bastic nee Halagiera, 85, former resident of Palos Heights, IL. passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. Bastic Sr.; loving mother of: Jim (Martha) Bastic, Bob Bastic II, Joan (Jim) Malone, Tim (Janice) Bastic, Randy (Renee) Bastic, and Janine (Jerry Fix) Bastic; cherished grandmother of 19 and great-grandmother of 25; dear sister of Rachel (Bill) Mitchell, Barney (Delores) Halagiera, and Ruth (U.J.) Schneider. Jean was preceded in death by her parents: Frank and Bernice Halagiera. The family will like to extend a very special thank-you to Jean's caregiver Elaine Johnson. Jean was a dedicated volunteer for Caritas Charity. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL on Thursday, December 27, 2012 from 2-5 PM and 6-8 PM. Funeral service Friday, December 28, 2012 with chapel prayers at 10:45 AM to St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave., Mokena, IL 60448 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM.
