Nan Strons nee Escobar
of New Lenox, passed away on Monday, August 27, 2012 in Chicago. Beloved wife of Bill; loving mother of Karen (Phil) Favia, Cindy (Ron) Glaser, Bill (Susie) Strons, Eric (Lisa) Strons, and James (Izabela Zieba) Strons; cherished grandmother of Marc, Luke and Alec Favia, Jake and Alyssa Glaser, Zach and Rachel Strons, and Kelly and Avery Strons; dear sister of Carlos (Vangie) Escobar, Juan (Magda) Escobar, late Paul (late Bertha) Escobar, Hilda (Tom) Rasor, Hector (Nellie) Escobar, Sukie (Art) Alarcon, and David (Lorna) Escobar; fond great niece of Rose Avalos. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Nan was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mokena. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox IL 60451 on Friday, August 31, 2012 from 3 – 9PM with a service at 7 PM. Funeral service Saturday, September 1, 2012 with prayers at Kurtz Memorial Chapel at 9:45AM prior to proceeding to St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115th Ave., Mokena, IL., for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30AM. Interment Good Shepherd Catholic Cemetery, Orland Park, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, appreciated.
