Mr. William "Bill" Kramer

William Edward "Bill" Kramer of Lockport, IL, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends on Tuesday, July 18, 2017, at the age of 60.

Bill was born on August 8, 1956, to the late William and late Marilyn Kramer. He graduated from Lockport Township High School in 1974 and remained a lifelong Lockport resident. Bill married the love of his life, Jill, on August 15, 1981. After 40 years as an ironworker, he retired from Iron Workers Union Local No. 1 in 2015. Bill was an avid fisherman, outdoorsman, chef, Chicago Bears fan, and an all-around handyman. He was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose (Lockport Lodge #1557), American Legion (Lockport Post 18) and the South Wilmington Sportmen's Club.

Bill enjoyed many fishing trips with his daughter, Beth. Recently, he was elated to assist building a new home for his son, Billy. Bill made many fond memories with loved ones camping, cooking, boating, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. At long last, Bill and Jill were blessed with grandchildren and were ecstatic for every visit from Addy and Will. He was a caring doggy daddy to Daisy and Lily.

Bill is survived by his devoted wife of nearly 36 years, Jill (Kolmodin) Kramer; two children, Elizabeth L. (Richard) Gioiosa and William B. (Kelly) Kramer; two grandchildren, Adeline R. Gioiosa and William M. Kramer; sister, Kathleen Kuban; siblings-in-law, Terry Johnson, Jeffrey (Teresa) Kolmodin, Mark (Robin) Kolmodin, Sally (Jeffrey) Baerman, Heidi (Dan) Berta; many nieces and nephews; numerous friends.

He is preceded in death by his brother Scott C. Kramer, sister-in-law Jodi L. Johnson, and brother-in-law Mark J. Kuban. In lieu of flowers, donations to Moose Charities, Inc., 155 S.
