Russell Musselman Jr, 82, lifelong resident of Lockport joined his beloved wife of 58 years, Rosie (deceased Dec 26, 2013) while surrounded by his loved ones, on Tuesday, February 25, 2014.

Russ was the middle child born to the late Russell and Elsie Musselman on August 2, 1931. He is survived by two loving daughters, Collette (Brett) Thomas of Homer Glen and Cindy Papesh of Crest Hill; three beloved grandchildren, Liz Thomas-Hansen, Sheila (Phil) Paulino and Dan (Amy) Royer; sister Reva Sneed(formerly of Joliet, IL); sister-in-law Zelma Sybert (Lockport), brother-in-law John (Betty) Lambdin (Sullivan, IL), sister-in-law Lois Lambdin (Joliet), numerous nieces, nephews, friends and his Maine Coon cat.

He is preceded in death by brother Eugene Musselman; brothers-in-law Roy Sybert, Robert Lambdin, Robert Bunning, Al Sneed and sisters-in-law Delsie Bunning, Mary Ann Lambdin and Nancy Lambdin.

Russ was the Assistant Fire Chief with the Northwest Homer Fire Department, and auxillary deputy with the Will County and Lockport police departments. Russ cherished being a member of Eddie Korosa's polka band and listening to music, with Rosie, at the Lockport VFW and Joliet Croatian halls in his retirement.

His family invites you to celebrate his life with them at his visitation on Friday, February 28, 2014 from 4-8 PM and Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 10 AM at Goodale Memorial Chapel 912 S. Hamilton St, Lockport, officiated by Pastor Frank Volpe, with burial at Lockport cemetery immediately following.
