Age 94, of Joliet, IL., passed away on Sunday, November 9th, 2014 in Joliet, IL. Beloved husband of Margaret nee Carroll; loving father of Susan (Clifford) Yaeger, Ronald (Kirsi) Hoffmann, Robert (Becky) Hoffmann, Raymond Hoffmann, and Thomas (Sylvia) Hoffmann; cherished grandfather of 19 and great-grandfather of 22. Raymond was preceded in death by his daughter Kathleen (late Robert) Elliott, and sister Junemary (late Raymond) Mahoney. Raymond was a World War II Army Veteran and member of St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox. He was a Physical Education teacher and Principal and retired from the Board of Education. After his retirement he was employed for H&R Block for 20 years. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Thursday, November 13th, 2014, from 6-8 PM. The family will meet at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd Ave., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Friday, November 14th, 2014 for an 8:30 AM Mass of Christian Burial.
