89, of New Lenox, formerly of Alsip and Roseland, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Joliet. Loving father of Nick (Sandy) Sempowicz, and Jean (late Wayne) Majczek; cherished grandfather of Nicholas and Mitchell Sempowicz. "Best Daddy" to Tiny and Holly. Dear brother of Walter and Ann. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Nick was preceded in death by his wife Felicia (nee DeGiacomo) and his parents Joseph and Katherine Sempowicz. Nick was a radio operator in World War II for the United States Army Air Force, member of St. Jude Catholic Church in New Lenox, and longtime employee of Verson AllSteel Press Company. Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd. New Lenox, IL 60451, on Friday, December 9, 2011 from 3-9PM. Funeral Service Saturday, December 10, 2011 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 West 2nd Street, New Lenox, IL 60451. Mass of Christian burial 10 AM. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Alsip, IL.
