Joseph Scimeca
Age 100, of Mokena, passed away on Thursday, January 10, 2013 in New Lenox, IL. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy nee Vazzano; loving father of: Rosalie Brekke, Matthew (Joann) Scimeca, and Peter (Susan) Scimeca; cherished grandfather of 6 and great-grandfather of 4; dear brother of: John Scimeca. Joseph was preceded in death by his siblings: Tony Scimeca, Virginia, and Lucille Maggio; and grandson: James Thompson. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451, Tuesday, January 15, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral service Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Assumption Cemetery, Glenwood, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to Marley Oaks Assisted Living, 12631 187th St., Mokena, IL 60448, appreciated.
