James S. Durkin
Age 90, of New Lenox, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2014. Beloved husband of Nancy nee Kweiser; loving father of Sharon Sears, James (Evelyn) Durkin, Renee Boozer; and step-father of Charles Garbin, Michael (Amanda) Garbin, Samuel Garbin, and Nathaniel Garbin; cherished grandfather of 10, great-grandfather of 16, and great-great grandfather of 9; dear brother of Robert Durkin. Jim was preceded in death by his parents Patrick and Mary Durkin; his first wife Irene nee LaVelle; and sibings George, Francis, Edward, and John Durkin, and Evelyn Cooper and Patricia Rayner. He was a member of Local #9 Electricians Union, IBEW. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, September 28, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM with a Memorial Service beginning at 5:00 PM. Interment private.
