Frank Lamar Snyder Sr. 84, of Chicago passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016. Born in Arkansas and moved to Chicago to fulfill a lifelong career on the railroad. He was the loving husband of Clyda for 58 years. Devoted father of Jamie (Rich) Longfellow, Frank (Cheryl) Snyder. Proud grandfather of Nicolette (Jonathan) Mireles, Eric Longfellow (fiancee Alexandra), Tyler Snyder, Carter Snyder and great grandfather to Jocelyn Mireles. Loving brother of Bill, Virginia, Doris and preceded in death by his father Roy, mother Eula Maude, siblings Hubert, Kenneth, Myrtle, and Wiley. Those who knew him called him a true southern gentleman with a kind and generous soul. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 12Noon- 6PM. Funeral Service Monday, October 17, 2016 at 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment Maplewood Cemetery, New Lenox, IL.
