DAVID EDWARDS

Age 83, a resident of New Lenox, IL. passed away on Tuesday, November 11th, 2014 in New Lenox with his family at his side. Beloved husband of the late Barbara nee Kenneavy; loving father of: Kathleen Tinny (Brian Tinny), Mary (Richard) Peterson, Barbara L. Edwards, Darren A. Edwards, and Jennifer A. (Mike Coates) Drazan; cherished grandfather of: Dustin, Riley, Renee, Kyle (Catie), Erik (Jennifer), Kristin, Brendan, Danielle (fiancé Lee Bramaer), Joseph, Ashley, Sean, and Callie; and one great-grandchild on the way. David was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Phyllis Wisniewski and his beloved son David R. Edwards. He graduated from DePaul University with a Master's Degree in music, and was an accomplished Jazz musician. David "Doc" was a retired school teacher from school district # 230 in Palos Hills. David was a Navy Veteran, member of St. Jude Church in New Lenox, and member of the Sherlock Holmes Club. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Sunday, November 16, 2014 from 2-7 PM. Funeral service Monday, November 17, 2014 with chapel prayers at 9:30 to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 West 2nd Avenue, New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 10:00 Mass of Christian Burial.
