Charles R. Kimmel Sr.,
Age 80, of Mokena, IL passed away on Sunday, December 22nd, 2013 in Joliet. Beloved husband of Mary nee Eschbach; loving father of Charles R. Kimmel Jr., and Step-father of Margaret Deaton and William F. Gallagher; cherished grandfather of 10 and great-grandfather of 4. Charles was preceded in death by his parents George and Ollie Kimmel; and siblings George, Albert, Leroy, William, Joseph, Betty and Edna. He was an Army Veteran, and retired from Operating Engineers Local 150 as a Heavy Equipment Operator after 35 years. A committal service will be held at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL, 60421 on Friday, December 27th, 2013 at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice, 250 Water Stone Circle, Joliet, IL., appreciated.
