Mildred V. Daugherty (nee French)
87, of New Lenox, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2018. Mildred was born in Joliet to the late George Sr. and Dorothy (nee Vance) French. Beloved wife of the late Eli W. Daugherty; loving mother of Michael William (Lindy Shroba Daugherty) Daugherty, and Margaret Anne (Timothy) Camp; cherished grandmother of Kurt M. (Amanda Thompson) Daugherty, and Darren J. (Stacie Hoving) Daugherty; dear sister of Charlotte (the late William) Pfeiffer; sister in law of Stella (the late Richard) Carlson and Dortha (the late Harry) McNerney; fond aunt of numerous nieces and nephews. Mildred was preceded in death by her siblings George French Jr, Donald French, Richard (the late Delores) French, Helen (the late Roger) Holt, and Doris French. Mildred was a lifelong member of Ridgewood Baptist Church, Joliet. She was a lifelong Cub fan and loved doing crossword puzzles and word search puzzles. She also enjoyed watching game shows, especially Family Feud. Mildred also bowled for many years at Galaxy Bowl (Crest Hill Lanes). The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 102 E Francis Rd, New Lenox on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 from 3pm – 8pm. Funerals Service Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 11:00am in the funeral home chapel. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park, Joliet.
