Michele L. Roman

Age 79, of Frankfort, IL, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Michele was born in Chicago, IL to the late Raymond and Angeline (Milani) Roman.

Loving mother of James (Sandra) Wolframski and Angela (Michael) Isbell; cherished grandmother of Samantha and Amanda Isbell; favorite aunt of Adam Roman; dear sister of the late Eugene “Gene” Roman.

Family was the center of her world from childhood through her final days. She was a devoted mom and grandma who sacrificed endlessly to provide love, stability, and opportunity for her children. Despite working full time until she retired, she never missed what mattered – earlier in her life, coaching her kids’ games and creating cherished summer traditions, and later, cheering on her granddaughters from the stands.

Her life was also enriched by deep and lasting friendships that meant the world to her. She had a special gift for making people feel cared for, supported, and welcomed, and those bonds remained an important source of joy and strength throughout her life. She had a lifelong love of animals, caring for them with tenderness and devotion, and finding comfort and happiness in their companionship.

When life brought her loss and challenges, she faced each one with grace, strength, and optimism…never complaining, and always finding a reason to smile. She was our rock, our guide, and our greatest source of comfort. Though deeply missed, her lessons of love will remain with us every day.

Reunited with those who went before her and the animals she adored, she leaves behind family and friends forever grateful for her life and love.

The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort, IL on Friday, February 20, 2026, from 10:00 am until time of Funeral Service at 12:00 pm.
