82, of Crestwood, passed away Monday, May 24, 2021 at home surrounded by family. Mike was born in Romania to the late John and Barbara (nee Bowmanns) Fohran. Beloved husband of the late Beverly (née Gibson); loving father of Ronald (Meri) Fohran, Donald Fohran, Michael Fohran, and Christina (Josh) Waterdown; cherished grandfather of Kara, Carl, Krystin, Marc, and Kailey Fohran, Makenna and Nathan Waterdown; dear brother of Gertrude (John) Toolan and Freida Roessner; loved uncle and friend of many. Mike was a retired Building Engineer with Marian Realty. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member the Illinois National Guard and the U.S. Army Reserves. Mike was a 54-year member of Service Employees International Local #1, New Lenox American Legion #1977 and Sons of the American Legion. The family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, New Lenox on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 3:00pm until time of Service at 7:00pm. Interment with full military honors at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood, IL on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at 10:30am.
