MICHAEL E. ATHEY

Age 71, of New Lenox, passed away on Thursday, August 17th, 2023 at his home in New Lenox.

Michael is survived by his loving family, wife, Joyce “Dixie” Athey (Mech), children, Michael (Jamie) Athey, Rebecca (Dan) Johnson, grandchildren, Jayden Athey, Ella Athey, Cole Athey, Dylan Johnson, Harper Johnson and Brody Johnson.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar & Dorothy Athey (Barth).

Michael was a carpenter and retired from Tempus Construction, he was also a volunteer at Sanctuary Golf Course in New Lenox.

All services and interment for Michael will be private.  In lieu of flowers, donations to Lightways Hospice would be greatly appreciated.
