Michael J Bolbat

Michael J. Bolbat, age 63, beloved father of Dan (Kristi) Bolbat, Laura (Anthony Bono) Bolbat; Grandfather of Dominic Bolbat, Dylan Bolbat, and Baby Bolbat due this November; dog Dad to Henry, and Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 27, 2025.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Leonard and Anna Mae Bolbat.

Michael found his greatest joy on the water, spending countless days on his boat—especially during those cherished Chicago summers. Whether cruising along the lake or simply enjoying the sunshine, he loved spending time aboard with the people he cared about most.

Above all, Michael loved his children. He was a devoted father and grandfather who treasured every moment with them. His loyal dog, Henry, was never far from his side—a constant companion.

Michael had an incredible gift with his hands—there was nothing he couldn’t fix or build. From home projects to helping others with theirs, he was a master craftsman.

Known for his big heart and even bigger laugh, Michael loved to have a good time. His presence filled a room—and our lives—with joy.

Michael’s legacy lives on in the lives he touched. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered with love.
