Age 70, of New Lenox, IL passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Loving father of Joalice (Scott) Ryan and the late Thomas Oard; cherished grandfather of Jack and Samantha; also survived by Carol Oard. He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin S. Oard Sr. and Stella nee Prajzner. Melvin was a retired Industrial Education Teacher at Lincolnway Central High school. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 1:30 PM at Maplewood Cemetery, corner of Oak Street and W. Haven Rd in New Lenox. Interment Maplewood Cemetery.
