Melissa "Missy" Avants (nee Katula), age 54 of Frankfort formerly of Tinley Park and St. Charles Missouri, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 14, 2015. Loving wife of John Avants; beloved mother of Daniel (Kelsie) Avants, Timothy Avants, Kimberlee Avants and Elizabeth Avants; dearest daughter of Louis and Nanci (nee Korzenski) Katula; cherished sister of Michael (Concetta) Katula, Dr. Garrett (Deborah) Katula D.O. and Dr. Jeffery (Kristen) Katula PHD.; also survived by many nieces and nephews. A memorial visitation will be held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 65 Old Frankfort Way, Frankfort IL 60423 on Saturday, July 18, 2015 from 10:00AM until time of memorial service at 2:00PM in the funeral home chapel. in lieu of flowers memorial donations to the donor's choice would be appreciated.
