Melba Faye Miller (Bradford), age 85, a resident of New Lenox formerly of Manhattan and Winfield, passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Cottages of New Lenox. Loving wife of the late Richard A. Miller; beloved mother of Julie Miller, Pam (Ken) Garland and Richard J. Miller; dearest sister of late Hazel (late Tom) Floyd, late Elzie (late Faye) Bradford, (late) Carlton “Bill” (late Ruby) Bradford, late David Bradford and Darlene (John) Heeter; cherished grandmother of Sheri (Scott) Mahalick, Sharon (John) Mahalick, and Kenneth (Joyce) Garland; proud great grandmother of Poppy Mahalick, Caleb Mahalick, Violet Mahalick, Luke Garland, Adin Garland and Lily Garland; fond aunt of serval nieces and nephews. Melba was a beloved member of Free Christian Assembly. She was proud to be one of its first congregants. She labored diligently in the evangelical outreach her church did for many years. Her impact as a witness for Jesus Christ is her greatest legacy. A visitation will be held at Free Christian Assembly, 27450 S. Ridgeland Ave. Monee IL 60449 on Saturday, February 12, 2022, from 10:30 AM until 12:00 PM, with a funeral service at 12:00 PM. Funeral luncheon to follow service. Interment will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, meeting at cemetery on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, at 12:00 PM.
