MARY “VERGENE” FREELAND

Age 93, of Palos Park, passed away on Tuesday, April 18th, 2023 at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights.

Vergene is survived by her loving family, children, Tom Freeland, Julia (Richard) Slevin, Jennifer (Vince) Connor, Martin (Gina Marie) Freeland, Jason (Michelle) Freeland, ten grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vergene was preceded in death by her parents, Coyne & Hilda Rogers (Buckler), siblings, Lucille Sciackitano, Viola Branyik, Frank Rogers and Art Rogers.

Vergene was a former member of St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church in Orland Hills and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and playing bridge with her friends.

A funeral mass is scheduled at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 7659 W. Sauk Trail, Frankfort, IL 60423 on Wednesday, April 26th, 2023 at 10:00 AM. Interment, Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, Calumet City IL.
