Mary Lucenti- Ruettiger (nee DiMichele)
Age 98, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at Sunny Hill Nursing Home in Joliet, a resident for over 4 years. Mary lived in New Lenox for over 20 years. Born on August 15, 1917 in Joliet, Mary was raised in Michigan City, IN, returning to Joliet when she was married to her first husband Anthony Lucenti, Sr. Mary is survived by her loving family; daughter Shirley (Billy) Harris of Manhattan; step children Robert (Sue) Ruettiger of Joliet, Patricia Furdek of Manhattan, Ruth Scherry of Lockport and Mary Walsh of Manhattan; grandmother of William (Cheryl) Harris, Sandra Heitman, Betty Harris, Tony (Anna) Lucenti III, Tammy (Randy) Platt, Gerald (Linda) Russio and David (Diane) Russio; 12 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren; grandma Mary to numerous step grandchildren and great grandchildren, also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Mary was preceded in death by her first husband Anthony Lucenti Sr. (1969) and her second husband Sylvester "Dewey" Ruettiger (1983); her son Anthony (Kathleen) Lucenti Jr. and daughter Gloria (Charles) Lloyd; great granddaughter and great grandson Carrie Harris Demski and Daniel Demski; grandson John (Lynn) Ruettiger; son in laws Al Scherry and Richard Furdek. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Rd., New Lenox, IL 60451 on Saturday, November 7, 2015 from 9:00AM until time of prayers at 10:30 AM to St. Jude Catholic Church, 241 W. 2nd St., New Lenox, IL 60451 for a 11:00AM Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment at Woodlawn Memorial Park in Joliet. Please omit flowers. Mary's family would like to thank the staff at Sunny Hill for the care and concern for Mary.
