Passed away peacefully on September 9, 2012. Fiercely devoted daughter of Goldie (Kovesy) and Anthony Joseph Vargo and much adored niece of of John and Martha Tomaga; special cousin of Caroline (Alan) Olinger, David Tomaga, and Michael Tomaga; loving Aunt to Nathan and Michael Olinger. She was born and raised in Joliet, Illinois and lived in California and Colorado before making her final home in St. Louis, Missouri. Mary Jo was an accomplished pianist, seamstress and lawyer. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to her mother and aunt until their passings. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Goldie (nee Kovesy) Vargo, aunt Martha (nee Kovesy) Tomaga and grandmother Mary Pal. Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451, on Saturday, September 15, 2012 from 9AM until time of Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Joliet, IL.
