Age 66, of New Lenox, passed away on Wednesday, June 16th, 2021 at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox.

Mary is survived by her loving family, husband, Martin Heemstra, son, Michael (Karyn) DiNovo, grandchildren, Vincent DiNovo, Cecilia DiNovo, brother, Joseph (Dawn) DiNovo, step children, Deanna (Thomas) Quenzel, Dean Heemstra, Christopher Heemstra and numerous cousins.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Roy & Mamie DiNovo (Bonarigo) and first husband James Salerno.

Mary was a United States Marine Corps Veteran and member of Living Faith Community Church in Lockport; she was a dog lover and was well know for her many Pit Bulls she had over the past 35 years.

Family will receive friends Monday, June 21st, 2021 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM. at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, New Lenox, IL 60451. Funeral service, Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment Good Shepherd Cemetery, Orland Park IL. In lieu of flowers, donations to ASPCA would be appreciated.
