Mark Alan Carter
Aged 60, passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2022, at Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox,
IL. Mark was born in Charleston, IL to Elizabeth (nee Rose) and the late Donald Carter. Loving
father of Donald, Kayla and Ashley Carter; dear brother of Ellen (Rick Valentine) Foster; and late
Jeff (Jenny) Carter; loving uncle to Matt and Aaron Foster. Also more nieces, nephews and
many more friends. Mark’s hard work ethics started on the wrestling mat and ended on the utility
pole as a lineman all across the country. He was charismatic, adventurous and courageous.
Being a kind and dependable father was of the utmost importance to his children and he
certainly did not disappoint when it came to wholeheartedly loving his family. He touched more
people than he would have ever imagined and made many unforgettable memories. He will be
missed by all who knew and loved him. Private family services were held.
