Marilyn R. Molyneaux

Marilyn R. Molyneaux, age 89, of Frankfort, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Family and Loved Ones

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Robert Molyneaux. Marilyn was the cherished mother of Michele (Todd) Furlong and Mark Molyneaux, and the loving grandmother of Troy Furlong and Trenton Furlong. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, who held a special place in her heart.

Early Life

Marilyn was born in Joliet to the late Vilas H. and Eunice (née Bauch) Peters. She was also preceded in death by her dear sibling, Vilas M. Peters.

Personal Life and Career

Marilyn was known as a devoted and caring wife and mother, always ensuring that her family and household were well cared for and never lacking. As her children grew older, she began her career as Payroll Supervisor at Governors State University, where she formed lasting friendships and eventually retired after many years of service.

She had a deep love for the sun and the beaches of Sanibel Island, Florida. Countless family trips took place there, filled with cherished and lasting memories with her children and grandsons.

Legacy

Marilyn will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Memorial Service

Services for Marilyn will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026. A memorial visitation will take place at St. Anthony Catholic Church, located at 7659 W Sauk Trail in Frankfort, from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass at 11:00 AM.
