MARIE E. WASKIEWICZ (DAMATO)

Age 76, of New Lenox, passed away Thursday, 26th, 2026 at her home in New Lenox.

Marie is survived by her loving family, husband, Robert Waskiewicz, children, Annmarie (Aaron) Bach, Robert Waskiewicz, grandchildren, Sophia Bach, Eli Bach, Ava Bach, Aidan Bach, siblings, Barbara Cartalano, Anne (Wayne) Johnson, Theresa (Richard) Kobal, sister in law, Kathleen Damato and numerous nieces and nephews.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph & Mary Damato (Trotta) and sibling Frank Damato.

Marie was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Manhattan. She was affectionately known as “Granny” and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren; especially supporting her grandchildren in all their activities.

Family will receive friends at St. Joseph Catholic, 255 West North Street, Manhattan, IL 60442 on Tuesday, March 3rd, 2026 from 10:30 AM until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 AM. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph Catholic Church would be greatly appreciated.
