Marianne Lulinski

Marianne Lulinski (nee Adamski), age 69, was called home to her Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas J. Lulinski. The two would have been married for 30 years in February. She is also survived by her stepchildren, Thomas P. (Jenny) Lulinski, and Amanda (Phil) Summers; her grandchildren, Nolan, Ava, and Sarah Summers, Gabe and Zoe Lulinski; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and many friends and co-workers. Marianne was also a very proud second mother to numerous foreign exchange students over the years, Samuele Virgili (Italy), Akira Ulrich (Switzerland), Bjarne Mehrtens (Germany), Cedric Desneux (Belgium), and Liam Barre (Paris).

Marianne is preceded in death by her son Matthew “Laz” Lulinski; her brother John Adamski II; her parents, John and Martha (nee Zelasko) Adamski; her niece Jill Lewis; as well as many other loved ones.

Marianne was a beautiful wife and a truly devoted mother.  She was graciously smart and spent a lifetime encouraging young minds to embrace an education.  She held a Bachelors of Science degree from DePaul University, a Masters of Arts degree from DePaul and several teaching certificates. She was a facilitator, counselor, and assistant principal at Grissom and Tonti schools in the Chicago School District. She is loved by many and will be missed by all who knew her. 

Services for Marianne will begin on Friday, January 26, 2024 with a Memorial Visitation being held at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, 102 E. Francis Road, in New Lenox from 3pm-8pm. Services will continue the following day, Saturday, January 27, 2024 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 19515 115^th Ave in Mokena, with a Memorial Mass at 10am. Marianne will be laid to rest at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Mokena. There will be a luncheon to follow.
