Age 94, of New Lenox, passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at her home. Margaret was born in Inisheer, County Galway, Ireland to the late Michael and Mary (nee Sherry) Flaherty. Beloved wife of the late Robert J. McGuire; loving mother of Maribeth (the late Thomas) Matuszak, Teresa McGuire, Michael McGuire, David (Maria) McGuire, and John (Colleen) McGuire; cherished grandmother of Maura (Erik) Wallenius, Matthew (Ali) Matuszak, Timothy Matuszak, T.J. Matuszak, Michael David McGuire, Andrew McGuire, Kayleigh (Roberto) Rivera, Stephanie Nash, Katie Nash, Andrew Nash, Nicholas (Kate) McGuire, John Patrick McGuire, Daniel McGuire, and Ryan McGuire; proud great grandmother of Saoirse Wallenius, Maeve Wallenius, and Francesca McGuire; dear sister of Brigid Donohoe, Mary Connelly, Sarah Acton, Michael Flaherty, and Stephen Flaherty all who preceded her in death. Margaret was a member St. Jude Catholic Church C.C.W. Family will receive friends at St. Jude Catholic Church, New Lenox, IL on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 10:00am until the time of the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Interment to follow at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Evergreen Park, IL. In lieu of flowers please make memorial donations to: Alzheimer's Assoc. or American Heart Assoc.
